The Lagos chapter of the Young Ebonyi Businessmen Forum has thrown its weight behind Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, endorsing the governor for a second term in office, citing his administration’s strides in infrastructure, economic empowerment, and inclusive governance as key drivers of their support.

In a statement the group also endorsed Arch. Chief Christian Asaga Nwali to represent Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone in 2027. The endorsement comes following its annual quarterly meeting held in Lagos.

The association unanimously agreed that governor Nwifuru has performed more than any other governor in the entire region and deserves a second tenure in office to enable him complete all his signature projects which can be seen all over the state.

The president of the Association, Jeremiah Obaji Nworu who recently trekked from Lagos to Abakaliki in appreciation of the governor for the restoration of peace in war-torn zones in the state, eulogized the governor for prioritizing peace above every other thing, saying that nothing could be achieved in a crisis -ridden community or state.

He maintained that the governor is a unique leader because while others in the past tolerated communal clashes in the state for some political capital sake, Nwifuru has built peace and channels the security votes to infrastructure development.

“It’s on record that no other governor in the entire region has achieved half of what the governor has achieved just in his first tenure. Security, human capital development, education and other critical areas of progress in the State”

In the same vein, the Association appreciates Arch. Nwali for accepting to serve the people of Ebonyi Central at the National Assembly.

Nworu made it clear that leadership position should be reserved for men who have verifiable records of success as private individuals; commending Nwali as an accomplished businessman and thorough-bred leader.

They cautioned Ebonyians to quit sending unexposed, unskilled and poorly educated men who end up disgracing the state at the national Assembly; insisting that legislative business is a critical aspect of government and development reserved only for those who possess sufficient vision, exposure, skill and discipline required to craft statutory frameworks upon which meaningful societal progress can be based.

“Ebonyians are enjoined to support the ambitions of these two distinguished sons of the State for their unrivalled contributions to the progress of our State and for their clear potential to take the State to even greater heights” they added.
