Nigerian comedian and content creator, Brodawest, has unveiled plans to establish a creators’ hub in his home state of Kogi. This initiative follows the success of his recent mentorship program held during the month of Ramadan, where ten mentees were trained in content creation, platform strategies, and monetization.

Speaking in a recent interview, Brodawest emphasized the need for a sustainable platform to nurture and support emerging talents in the digital space.

“I sat with my team and we decided to make this a recurring event and, more importantly, have a hub where established creators and upcoming creators can have common ground to mix and share ideas that are mutually beneficial. And what better place to start than at my state of origin? They say charity begins at home,” he stated.

The proposed hub aims to uplift young talents from Kogi State while exposing them to the vast economic opportunities in content creation, both as a passion and as a viable career path.

“It aims to raise more people from my roots and also show them the enormous economic possibilities that abound in content creation as a passion and occupation,” he added.

According to Brodawest, the next steps in the project involve securing a suitable location and forming strategic industry partnerships to bring the vision to fruition.

“What’s left now is to get a viable location to site the hub and also work on valid industry partnerships to bring the project to life. I’m certain it is going to be wonderful,” he concluded.

With the growing influence of digital content creation in Nigeria, this initiative could significantly contribute to the creative economy and provide a solid foundation for aspiring creators in Kogi State and beyond.
