Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have reportedly invaded the office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), in Abuja.

The development comes after the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero was apprehended by DSS on Monday.

Per online reports, DSS officials at SERAP’s office in Abuja were asking to see the directors of the rights group.

SERAP announced the invasion via its official X handle, saying: “Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors.

“President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation, and attack on the rights of Nigerians.”
