The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero, has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).
It was learnt that the secret police picked up the labour leader at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja on Monday morning.

Ajaero was said to be preparing to board a flight to United Kingdom for an official assignment when the DSS accosted and arrested him.
The labour leader was billed to attend the conference of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the United Kingdom on Monday.
Sources said the DSS has handed him over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), although the reason for his arrest remains sketchy as of press time.
