BREAKING: GMD NNPC Baru loses son in Dubai

Group General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru has reportedly lost his 21-years old son to the cold hands of death.

The sad event, it was gathered occurred in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on May 18.

Mohammed Kawu Baru was said to have since been buried.

According to SaharaReporters, he was 18 years old and has been buried. Earlier reports said he was 21 year-old.

“Mohammed Kawu Baru was an 18-year-old 1st-year Architecture student at American University, Sharjah,” the report said.

“He collapsed and died while on University organized hiking exercise in Fujairah on Thursday. He’s since been buried at the Sharjah Emirates Cemetery.

“The father, Maikanti Baru, GMD NNPC, accompanied by Ambassador Nura Rimi and hundreds of members of the Nigerian community in UAE, attended the burial.

Dr. Maikanti Baru recently lost his mother and sister.
