Bosco, Afeez qualify for Egbeda 2022 snooker quarter-finals

Two young amateurs, Mubarak Bosco and Afeez Eleshin have made it into the quarter-finals of the maiden edition of the Egbeda 2022 snooker competition, knocking out semi-pro players like Ade Uloafu and Daniel Aiye respectively.

Both players qualified from preliminaries through a group stage of four players before earning their place in the quarter-final and are expected to battle each other for a semi-final spot today at Alhaji’s Bar and Grill, Okunola Road, Egbeda, Lagos State.

Other players who are expected to battle in the quarter-finals include one-time Lagos State champion, Brown Ekpai who is up against Anambra 2021 semi-pro champion, Dike Obiagwu, while Edo State prolific gamer, Osas Monday popularly known as Thrasher will battle Obaino Obinna, and unseeded Dele Odunjo will battle Abe Keukeu. The two first-timers, Bosco and Afeez would slug it out.

The final of the competition will come up on December 24 at the same venue.
