…As Leverkusen insists he’s going nowhere

Bayer Leverkusen’s director, Simon Rolfes, has confirmed that striker Victor Boniface, will not be joining Al Nassr and will continue to train with the German club.

The news comes after rumours had swirled about a potential move to the Saudi Arabian side, after he underwent a medical examination this week.

However, Al Nassr has instead go for Aston Villa striker, Jhon Durán, with the Colombia international was scheduled for medical yesterday day ahead of his trip to Saudi Arabia.

“There have been talks, but we are happy that he will be training with us today. I assume that he will stay,” Rolfes said, according to Fabrizio Romano.

His statement puts to rest any concerns that the Nigerian forward, who has impressed at Leverkusen this season, could be leaving the club soon.

Boniface has been a standout performer for Leverkusen since his arrival, and his performances have garnered the attention of various clubs.

Al Nassr, which recently made high-profile signings, was linked with the 24-year-old striker, but Rolfes emphasized that Boniface’s commitment to the club remains strong.

Rolfes also shared that Boniface’s feelings towards the club are positive and unchanged.

“He feels comfortable here, his attitude towards the club is unchanged,” he added.

This sentiment suggests that Boniface is focused on his role at Leverkusen and is happy with his current situation.

Boniface’s continued presence at Leverkusen is good news for the club, as he has been a key figure in their attacking lineup.

The Nigerian international’s contributions on the pitch have been significant, and he is expected to remain a crucial part of the squad for the remainder of the season.
