Indian actor Saif Ali Khan was repeatedly stabbed by burglars who invaded his home in Mumbai, as disclosed by his public relations team.
54-year-old Khan underwent surgery on Thursday following the stabbing and his fans have been urged to exercise patience as he recuperates.
“There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence,” his team shared while calling for patience.

Khan’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor informed the media that her husband sustained an injury on his arm and was hospitalised.
“Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital. The rest of the family is doing fine,” she said.
A top official at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital Niraj Uttamani told The Hindustan Times newspaper that Khan sustained six injuries, with two deeper wounds.
