Benue South 2027: Olofu storms Otukpo, Ohimini, secures endorsements, royal blessing

The Senatorial hopeful for Benue South, Dr. David Olofu has Ohimini and Otukpo Local Government Ateas, the Trado-Political capital of the Idoma Nation, where he pledged that his mandate would uplift the fortunes of the entire senatorial district.

In his address in the various venues, Olofu emphasized that his mandate as a Senator would bear the collective imprimatur of the entire Benue South Senatorial District.

He promised to attract development projects to all nooks and crannies of the district and ensure fair treatment for all the LGAs in Benue South Senatorial District.

Dr. Olofu outlined his development agenda which include establishing a robust Senatorial Constituency Office in Otukpo collating development needs and addressing them based on people’s priorities.

He also said he would be working with traditional rulers and security agencies to stem herdsmen attacks, focusing on education, rural road construction, healthcare, agriculture, and provision of potable water.

Olofu, who paid a courtesy visit to the Palaces of the Och’Otukpo Odu, Dr. John Onuminya Eimonye and Ad’Ohimini, Dr John Ochai also received multiple royal blessings and endorsements.

Olofu received endorsements from Chief Abeje Egwa, Chief Ogah Ekwu, Chief Owoicho Abel, Dr. Adakole Elijah, and Dr. David Ekwo, who praised his commitment to equity, fairness, and justice.

The paramount ruler of of the Otukpo people, the Och’Otukpo Odu, Dr John Onuminya Eimonye, the Ad’Ohimini, HRH Dr John Ochai and members of their traditional councils invoked the ancestors of Otukpo and Ohimini to lead Dr. Olofu to victory, blessing and charging him to proceed with his quest.

Dr. Olofu’s visit was attended by notable personalities, including Prof. David Salifu, Chief Donald Agida, Sharon Adokpe, Owoicho Oyi, Abuh Echo, Solomon Eyigege OlocheOche, Dan Atayi amongst others.

During the visits, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) were unveiled in the respective localities.
