The Benue State Police Command has announced the arrest one suspect in the murder of Hon. Ejeh Udeh, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Benue State Command, DSP Udeme Edet who disclosed this on Monday said the suspect, whose identify is yet to be known, is currently in their custody.
Udeh, a prominent politician in Idoma land, was reportedly murdered at his residence in Ondo- Ugboju, in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State at about 11 pm on Sunday.
The Otukpo Council Chairman, Prince Maxwell Ogiri told our Correspondent on Monday that the reasons for the murder, was yet unknown.
According to him the determined murderers followed him to his house after he came back from a hangout with some friends and associates. He entered his compound, parked his car and went to his house and they began to fire from a distance, got closer to him and then finished him up.

The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Benue State Command, DSP Udeme Edet who later confirmed the incident said one suspect has been apprehended.
The PPRO in a message said “Yes it’s confirmed that the incident occurred and one of the suspects has been arrested and in police custody.”
Edet said investigation is still ongoing to capture the other suspects.
