The long nights on the set, the sacrifices, and the passion, these keep me going. This award means so much to me and to everyone at B’NIT Productions.”
On what distinguished the film for the award, she explained: “The award came from A Ride with Forever, a film that is very close to my heart. It was a project born out of inspiration from God, pure passion that explored love, faith, and second chances in a very real way. The story connected deeply with people and I believe that truth is what made it stand out.”
She continued: “I played the lead role, a woman who was torn between love, hope and redemption. What I love about her is her honesty and strength, her faith in God. She is imperfect but brave enough to face her truth. Many women saw themselves in her and that connection is what I value most about storytelling.”
The Anambra-born star further dedicated the award: “I dedicate this award first to God for His grace and strength. I also dedicate it to my family, my husband, and my three amazing kids, my elder sister, who are my biggest support system. And to every young woman who is chasing her dream and learning to balance family and purpose. You can do it. I am proof that it is possible.”
Onyiuke’s post was met with congratulations from fans in Nigeria and across the globe. She made the fans this promise: “My fans should expect more powerful and meaningful stories. I am stepping into a new phase of deeper roles and greater creativity. This award is not the end. It is motivation for more. Expect more international recognition awards from B’NIT Productions and from me as a storyteller who is still learning every day.”
