Tacha Akide, a reality TV personality and entrepreneur, accomplished a spectacular achievement by completing her 24-hour Guinness World Record makeover challenge in Lagos, setting a new bar for innovation and endurance in Nigeria’s beauty sector.
The reality star started the session on Saturday and finished it at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, with no signs of slowing down despite the long hours. Influencers such as Venita Akpofure, Mitchy, Wanni, and Handi represented a variety of skin tones and body kinds, demonstrating diversity in the beauty industry.
Each participant’s transformation was captured through professional photography and runway showcases as part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, which formed the backdrop of the record attempt.
The event was graced by top entertainment figures such as Dabota Lawson, Soma Anyama, Slimcase, Egungun of Lagos, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.
Tacha, known for her bold personality since her Big Brother Naija Season 4 appearance, is now awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records before she is officially recognised as a record holder.
Speaking about her motivation, she said the challenge was inspired by her passion to “celebrate Nigerian women’s creativity, strength, and resilience” while promoting the beauty industry globally.
