Bauchi gov, Abubakar defeated in his polling unit

 The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor of Bauchi State Mohammed Abubakar has lost his polling unit to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Bala Muhammed in yesterday’s gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections in the state.

At the governor’s polling unit, Gindin Durumi, the presiding officer, Mr Chinedu Onora while counting the number of votes, announced that Bala Muhammed of the PDP had the highest number of votes cast.

 According to the presiding officer, the total number of votes gathered by the governorship candidate of the PDP at the polling unit was 358, while the total number of votes scored by the governor was 288.

He said that Bala Muhammed defeated the governor at the polling unit with a difference of 70 votes.

Onora also stated that the total number of invalid votes recorded at the polling unit was 59.
