The Baptist College of Theology, Lagos has affirmed its commitment to collaborating with institutions and bodies in order to remain a virile and vibrant academic institution.
Rector of the college, Professor Emmanuel Oyemomi, who stated this during the 25th anniversary of the institution, said the school was already engaging the Scholars International to boost its strategic planning platform as a theological institution. He said the BCT Lagos has developed a virile and pro-active partnership with reputable organisations to remain a forward-looking institution. The college, he said, has active collaboration with the Langham Preaching Initiative, Serve the Lord in Truth, Word and Spirit and the New International University in Britain.
He said that the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa has granted accreditation for the college since 2016 and the college has grown tremendously to live up to expectations of the regulatory body.
Oyemomi stated that the college is working on a super imposing city campus in Lagos in order to make the college accessible to more prospective students and stakeholders. The City Campus is designed to attract the working class who intends to study within the metropolis, he said.
According to him, a modern worship centre is being planned at the permanent site in Agbowa Ikosi to serve the needs of the college in having a centre for worship and academic events.
Chairman, Board of Governors of the college, Mr Ayodeji Gbeleyi said in his address that the institution has the aim to provide students with a strong foundation composed of knowledge and life skills, which are the primary tools for success in life and ministry. President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention and Visitor to the College, Rev Dr Israel Adelani Akanji urged the college not to rest on its oars in order to remain a vibrant and dynamic institution of learning for the future.
