Fashion design house, AY Stitches, is set for the take off of its fashion academy, for training females in design and couture.
Creative Director of AY Stitches, Olujoye Ayodeji, who has been in the fashion industry for more than two decades, disclosed the plans of the fashion house to Sunday Sun.
The fashion brand is mainly known for men outfits and caters to the fashion needs of celebrities from all walks of life as well as notable Nollywood stars.
“We have been in the industry for over two decades. So, we are trying to give back to society and to reduce unemployment in our society; that is the main reason for our opening the school.
“We intend to open the school on June 1, 2023. This will be preceded by an orientation session on May 27, 2023. We want young women, both single and married, to come and be trained in fashion design skills instead of being layabouts. Production of female fashion outfits is a very lucrative business. Prospective trainees who register within the next two weeks will get a 40 per cent discount on the registration fee,” Ayodeji said.
