Nantes defender, Chidozie Awaziem

Nantes defender, Chidozie Awaziem is back in the Super Eagles squad for the world cup qualifiers playoff in November, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Awaziem was left out of the team that played in the last two international games for Nigeria, where the Super Eagles defeated Lesotho 2-1 before sealing a spot in the playoff with a 4-0 win over Benin Republic.

Head coach Eric Chelle who picked young defender Benjamin Fredrick ahead of the 28 year old in the games against Rwanda and South Africa respectively, has decided to make him a part of his setup.

His invitation is coming on the back of his recent improvement in form, and also the fact that he can play in multiple roles across the defence.

He is among the players who got letters of provisional invitation for the mini tournament in Morocco.

This season he has made 9 appearances in Ligue 1 including last weekend 2-1 away win over Paris FC, which moved them to 13th on the log.
