The Chairman of Odukpani Local Government Area in Cross River State, Hon. Etim Asido Ukpong, says the council is on course to becoming a model local government area in the state.

Hon. Asido disclosed this in a New Year message to his people, stating that his administration will continue to prioritise the welfare of the people and create a conducive atmosphere for investments in 2025.

“As we bid farewell to the year 2024 and welcome a new chapter of our existence in 2025, permit me to utilise this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and cooperation throughout the year.

“We have made significant strides in this short journey towards progress and development.

“We have evolved strategies to improve and get better in the new year, and I am proud of the achievements we’ve recorded together.

“From infrastructural development to social welfare programmes, we have worked tirelessly to improve your lives.

“As we look to the future, I want to reassure you that we will continue to work assiduously to address the challenges which lie ahead of us.

“We will prioritise your welfare and well-being, foster a conducive environment for business and investment, and strive to make Odukpani a model local government area in Cross River State,” he said.

The council boss thanked his people for their trust and confidence in his leadership while wishing them a fulfilling New Year.

He also solicited their support for the administrations of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu, urging them to trust the process and remain optimistic about the future.
