Ex-coach of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh will once again have the opportunity to oversee Nigeria, but this time it will be with the Dream Team VI, coached by Samson Siasia at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games football event.
Oliseh, who is on the FIFA technical study group had been assigned to analyse Nigeria’s matches against Japan and Colombia in the Games.
Nigeria faces Japan in both countries’ opening game on Friday in Manaus, while the Dream Team VI confronts Colombia in the last group game in Sao Paolo on August 10, africanFootball.com reported.
Oliseh coached the Super Eagles between July 2015 and February this year.
The Belgium based coach had resigned from the Nigerian job to end his seven-month relationship with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
He said: “I feel fortunate, blessed and eternally grateful for having had the honour to play, captain & coach this great nation of ours, Nigeria.”
“Due to contract violations, lack of support, unpaid wages, benefits to my players, asst. coaches and myself, I resign as Super Eagles Chief Coach. – Sunday Oliseh, Super Eagles Chief Coach,” concluded the statement then.
