Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Most Revd. Alfred Adewale Martins

By Chisom Emmanuel

Catholic Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos, Most Rev Adewale Martins has charged lawyers to always seek justice and advocate the truth always.

He stated this during the 2022 New Legal Year Mass at Holy Cross Cathedral, Lagos.

The cleric told lawyers that the country was in a time where critical decisions would have to be taken by the judiciary, and they should serve as tool to move the country forward.

He charged lawyers to always stand for the truth and maintain their integrity, especially as the nation approaches the 2023 general elections.

Martins congratulated lawyers present at the Mass for their achievements in the past legal year, encouraged them to fight for Christ, and not relent in their efforts to preserve the truth.

President of the National Association of Catholic Lawyers, Chukwuma Ezeala, admonished lawyers to be instruments used to cleanse the nation in its time of distress. He tasked his cooleagues to be ready to fight for this country and its tattered economy.
