The averted incident occurred in the afternoon on an ecpansive field along Filin Mahaha area by BUK Road in the metropolant area of the state.

Daily Sun gathered  that the protesters had initially gathered to pray. However, shortly after they had offered their prayers, they attempted to convert the prayer session to a political protest.

A witness told journalists that the prompt arrival of police officers,  who subsequently fired ganisters of teargas at them saved the day. . .

When contscted by phone. Kano State Police Public Relations Officer,Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa  said that he was not in town while promising to get back to journalists as soon as he had any briefing on the development.

In the meantime,  the metropolis of the state has remained peaceful as residents went about their businesses.
