The All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Abia South, Erondu Uchenna Erondu (Jnr), has described his overwhelming victory in the party’s primary election as a clear indication of the people’s confidence in his leadership.
Reacting to the outcome of the exercise, Erondu said the wide margin between him and his opponents reflected the genuine choice of party members and supporters across the district.
According to him, securing more than 11,000 votes above other contenders demonstrated the level of acceptance he enjoys among the people.
“The people considered me the best man for the position, not me. You can see I got over 11,000 votes above my opponents, which is a clear testament to who the people really want,” he said.

The APC candidate also highlighted his legislative contributions, recalling that he sponsored the first motion raised in the Abia State House of Assembly after the inauguration of the current administration in 2023.
He explained that the motion focused on the suspension of electricity tariff increases, which he said was aimed at easing the burden on residents.
“The very first motion in the Abia State Assembly was moved by me, and that had to do with the suspension of electricity tariff hike in June 2023,” Erondu added.
He pledged to continue prioritising policies and initiatives that would benefit the people if elected in the 2027 general elections.
