APC, PDP share National Assembly seats in Edo

Results of last Saturday’s National Assembly elections in Edo State, released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), showed that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) shared the 12 available seats equally. 

The PDP won two Senate seats and four House of Representatives seats, while the APC won one Senate seat and five House of Representatives seats.  

Those who won are Senator Matthew Urhoghide, representing Edo South senatorial district, Jude Ise-Idehen (PDP) and Mr. Patrick Aisowere.

‎Similarly, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama of the PDP was re-elected to represent Oredo Federal Constituency.

He polled 32,895 votes to defeat APC candidate, Tony Osaigbovo Iyoha, who scored 23,352 votes.
