The results of yesterday’s Governor and House of Assembly elections so far released has shown that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state is in an early lead in some polling units.
The governorship candidate of the party, Alhaji Mukthar Shehu Idris, won his polling unit, the Army Barracks polling unit (014) in Tudun Wada area of Gusau Local Government Area with a landslide, polling 1,131 votes as against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Bello Mohammed Matawalle and his Accord party counterpart, Bala Bello who got one vote each.
