The All Progressive Congress (APC), group under the umbrella of Quaan-Pan Support Group for Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and Senator Napoleon Binkap Bali 2027 has endorsed the re-election of the governor and Bali for the Plateau South senatorial district in 2027.
The endorsement is coming as the state prepares for the reception of Governor Mutfwang into the APC on Tuesday.
The party stakeholders revealed their resolve in a communique issued at the end of their meeting held in Doemak, Quan-Pan Local Government Area.
They expressed disappointment over the judicial intervention that truncated the overwhelming electoral victory of Bali while reaffirming their unwavering commitment, readiness and determination to return him to the National Assembly to continue providing the much-needed leadership for Plateau South senatorial district.
They noted that within just six months in office, “Senator Napoleon demonstrated uncommon leadership qualities, purposeful representation, and people-centered engagement, which earned him wide acceptance across the district.”
The motion for the endorsements in Quanpan Local Government Area was moved by Sogotdee and seconded by Alhaji Naziru Turaki.
The stakeholders vowed to avoid the judicial errors that brought Senator Lalong to Senate in 2023, assuring that the same people who voted overwhelmingly for Senator Bali in 2023 elections remain resolute and will replicate such massive and unwavering support in the 2027 contest.
Meanwhile, stakeholders of the APC at Shendam local government area of the state equally moved a similar motion for the endorsements for the duo ahead of 2027. The motion was moved by Mr. Dalim Pedong Sati and seconded by Mrs. Lucy Walong at La Sual Centre.
They called for unity of purpose, equity, and a genuine sense of belonging across the zone. They maintained that the Gaimai people have occupied positions in the National Assembly for nearly eight years, and that it is time for morality, fairness, and justice to be restored in Plateau South politics.
They further emphasised that the six months spent by Senator Bali at the National Assembly were impactful, productive and people-driven and therefore appealed to the entire senatorial district to once again rally behind him for effective and purposeful representation.
