The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Cross River Commissioner for Special Duties Oden Ewa and former Rep Daniel Asuquo from contesting the party’s senatorial primaries for the Central and Southern districts.
The decision was contained in a list of 47 senatorial aspirants nationwide released on Monday by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka.

The disqualification came hours before primaries were scheduled to hold in the two Cross River districts on Monday.
Both aspirants had not reacted to the announcement as of press time. Efforts to reach them for comment were unsuccessful.
Cross River APC Publicity Secretary Emmanuel Inyang said the state chapter had not received official communication from the national secretariat regarding the disqualification as at press time. He added that party members had been directed to proceed to their wards for the primaries.
