The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, has assured the Hausa community in the state of its steadfast commitment to improving social security and livelihood support to enhance inclusive governance and development across the state.
The state chairman, Chief Benjamin Omale made the promise yesterday when he led the state working committee of the ruling party on a condolence visit to the family and Hausa community in Wadata, following the death of the Sarki Hausawa, Alhaji Rayyanu Abdullahi Sangami.
Sagami passed on last Sunday and was buried at the Muslim Cemetery in Makurdi, according to Islamic rites
The state working committee, which had the state women leader, Mrs Helen Agaigbe and other top party officials, was received by the new Sarki Hausawa, Imam Sani Yusuf, in company of top Hausa community leaders as they offered the Islamic three days Sadaka prayer rites with the Madaki Makurdi, Ciroma Makurdi, Jar’ma Makurdi, Galadima Makurdi and the Sarki Arewa, all of who received Omale and his team
Male eulogised the late Sangami for his steadfast love and commitment to the ideals of the party and the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the federal level and for mobilising the entire Hausa community in Benue to promote the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia. He stated that through the efforts of the late Sarki, Governor Alia had quickly attended to the deplorable road network in Wadata area by constructing one of the streets at Benue Crescent Junction to alleviate the suffering of residents, urging them to keep faith with the party and Governor Alia.
According to Chief Omale “The Late Sarki Hansawa, Alhaji Rayyanu Abdullahi Sangami, was a great man, a community leader and a rallying point for his people and the government of Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, who stood by us to deliver on good governance.
“We thank Allah for a life well spent here on earth and the impact he created among his people, something we hold dear to us as a party and we urge the Hausa community to live up to those ideals by which he attracted government attention to the growth and development of his people.”
He expressed the commitment of the APC in the state to stand with the family of the Late Sarki Hausawa, Alhaji Rayyanu Abdullahi Sangami and condoled the entire community for the loss of a man so open to leadership that attracted goodwill to his people.
