ANFASSC appeals for financial help to mobilise support for Super Eagles

The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has issued an urgent call for financial assistance to enable the effective mobilisation of Nigerian supporters ahead of the Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against host nation Morocco.

In a statement released on Monday, the supporters’ club warned that without immediate financial intervention, organised fan support for the national team at the critical stage of the tournament could be severely affected. ANFASSC said the rising cost of transportation, accommodation, supporter coordination, and matchday logistics has placed significant strain on the club’s resources.

The club stressed that a strong and coordinated Nigerian fan presence is crucial, particularly in a semi-final against the host nation, where home support is expected to be overwhelming. According to ANFASSC, urgent funding is required to sustain musical coordination, structured movement of supporters, and disciplined crowd organisation within and around the stadium.

ANFASSC appealed directly to the Federal Government, sports authorities, corporate bodies, and patriotic Nigerians to intervene without delay, noting that timely financial support could make a decisive difference in boosting the morale of the Super Eagles.

The supporters’ group also called for immediate action on ticketing arrangements, urging authorities to ensure early release and fair distribution of match tickets to Nigerian fans to avoid last-minute disorganisation.

Reaffirming its commitment to the national team, ANFASSC said it remains fully prepared to rally behind the Super Eagles but emphasised that swift financial assistance is now critical as Nigeria battles for a place in the AFCON final.
