Anambra poll: EFCC arrests three vote buying suspects

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested three suspected vote buyers in different parts of Anambra State during the governorship election held on Saturday, November 8.

According to the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, the suspects were identified as Emeka Ilokasia, who was arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Area; Nwachukwu Loretta, apprehended at Ward 2 (008), Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area; and Emuka Chuwudi, nabbed at Umunachi village in Dunukofia Local Government Area.

The Commission stated that the arrests were made by its operatives monitoring the electoral process across the state.

“The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations,” Oyewale said.
