As oliticians in Anambra State begin the contest to pick the tickets of their parties, governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has commenced consultations with stakeholders of the party across the state in order to intimate them of his intention and to also share his plans to transform the State.

The front line aspirant representing Anambra South met with prominent APC chieftain, Hon Okwudili Oguejiofor, at his country home in Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area on Tuesday.

At the homes of each stakeholder, Ubah explained how he intended to tackle the challenges of insecurity, economy, agriculture, power, oil and gas, transportation, education, healthcare, digital economy, women empowerment and judicial reform, which he laid emphasis on as his top priorities.

Harping on why he should be the party’s standard-bearer in the off-cycle 2025 gubernatorial election, Ubah stated that he holds the capacity to improve Governance in the state.

Ubah appreciated Hon Oguejiofor for his efforts to strengthen the party in Anambra State and formally made known his intention.

Senator Ubah who was accompanied by key Southeast stakeholders of the party also pledged to put in more efforts to promote the party’s ideology.

“I am here to seek your support not because of our relationship but based on capacity and antecedents both in and out of politics. Let me assure you that I will never disappoint the party if elected as its candidate,” Ubah said.

Responding, Hon Oguejiofor appreciated Ubah for his contributions to promote the party’s ideology.

He also appreciated him for his patriotism and wished him well in his aspiration, while assuring of the party’s commitment to fairness and justice.

Determined to interface with all stakeholders in the entire 21 LGAs of the state, the lawmaker on Wednesday visited Hon Izu Emelummadu at his country home in Oba of Idemili South Local Government Area.

During his engagement with the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), he highlighted his achievements at the Senate citing his drive to expose all frauds associated with contracts and management of the Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) of the nation’s refineries.

Ubah vowed to replicate the same gesture in Anambra by implementing transparency and accountability in government.

He appreciated Emelummadu’s efforts to strengthen the party and sought his support, pledging not to disappoint the party if elected as its candidate.

In return Emelummadu acknowledged Ubah’s promotion of the party’s ideology and fortunes both at the state and national level, just as he gave his blessings to his aspiration.

Party stakeholders who accompanied Ubah to all places visited include; Ambasador Jerry Ugokwe,  Hon Peter Okoye, Hon Peter Madubueze, Hon J C Okeke, Dr Amobi Nwaokafor, Dozie Ikedife Jr, Ichie Mike Ejezie, Chief Dennis Ngene, Hon Chidi Okoye, Prof. Nick Eze, Lord Mike Mbanefo and Prof. Victor Ukaogo.
