World 100m hurdles champion and record holder, Tobiloba Amusan has attributed her new personal season’s best Tuesday at the 62nd Golden Spike in Ostrava, Czech Republic to God’s power.
Amsuan clocked a time of 12.47s, an improvement on her Season’s Best that earned her third place behind Olympic champion, Jasmine Camacho-Quine (12.42 meeting record) and Tia Jones (12.44) was her first run inside 12.50 this year.
Thrilled to have made progress in her timing and gradually getting back to form with the World Athletics Championship hovering in the horizon, the Commonwealth Games champion took to her facebook page to express her feelings.
‘God’s power is working.12.47s season’s best today. #OstravaGoldenSpike,’ Amusan wrote on her Facebook page after the race.

At the Diamond League, she will embark in a lineup featuring her arch rival Camacho-Quinn, Ali, Jones, and the impressive Alaysha Johnson, who has been one of the standout performers this season.
With focus on bouncing back, Amusan will hope to use the Lasanne competition to regain her top form in preparation for the defense of her world title in Budapest come August.
