Amb. Soni O. Abang appreciates guests at mother’s 85th birthday celebration

In a heartwarming event filled with love and respect, Ambassador Soni O. Abang, along with his wife, Mrs. Glory Ada Abang, hosted a grand celebration in honor of his mother, Mrs. Magdalene Ada Abang, who turned 85. The event, which took place in Cross River State, was attended by family, friends, and prominent figures from across the region.

The celebration was marked by the presence of key dignitaries, including His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, and His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Agbe Odey, the Deputy Governor. Their attendance highlighted the significance of the occasion and the high esteem in which the Abang family is held.

The event also saw the participation of the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Elvert Ayambem, the Deputy Speaker, and several members of the Cross River State House of Assembly. Chief Ekum Ekok Ojogu, Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), along with other APC Exco members and chapter chairmen, were also in attendance, underscoring the broad support for the Abang family.

Religious leaders, including representatives of Bishop Christopher Nasari, Rev. Fr. Bob Etta, and Rev. Fr. Francis Eworo, led the family in thanksgiving, adding a spiritual dimension to the joyous occasion.

In his remarks, Ambassador Abang expressed deep gratitude to all who attended, noting that their presence made the day exceptionally special for his mother. He also thanked those who sent goodwill messages and everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
