Chief Peter Amadiasonwu (Ezeudene Espana) has appealed to all parties involved in the ongoing leadership tussle over the President-Generalship of Affa Etiti Ancient Kingdom, Udi Local Government Area in Enugu State, to embrace peace, restraint and dialogue, while conducting all activities strictly in accordance with the constitution of the kingdom.
In a statement issued amid the ongoing developments, Chief Amadiasonwu urged all concerned parties and stakeholders to respect constituted authority and allow the provisions of the Constitution of Affa Etiti Ancient Kingdom to guide the process of resolving the leadership question.
According to him, the constitution represents the collective agreement and established framework of the people and should therefore be respected by everyone, irrespective of personal interests, affiliations or preferred outcomes.
He appealed to all parties to refrain from actions or processes capable of escalating tensions, deepening divisions or undermining the unity and peaceful coexistence of the various communities that make up Affa Etiti Ancient Kingdom.
Chief Amadiasonwu stressed that genuine and lasting peace can only be achieved when every stakeholder submits to the rule of law and the legitimate processes established by the community.

He further cautioned that failure to stick to the provisions of the constitution of the kingdom would be resisted through the court. He stressed that any activity or action carried out in disregard of the constitutional provisions of the kingdom or the lawful directives of constituted authority may have to be addressed through the appropriate legal channels.
He, however, emphasised that the appeal is not intended to threaten or intimidate any individual or group, but rather to encourage all parties to pursue a peaceful, orderly and lawful resolution of the matter. Chief Amadiasonwu therefore called on the concerned parties to sheathe their swords, avoid inflammatory actions and statements, and return to dialogue within the framework of the constitution.
“Affa Etiti belongs to all of us. No individual interest is greater than the peace, unity and constitutional order of our kingdom. Let us respect constituted authority, obey our constitution and resolve our differences through lawful and peaceful means.”
He expressed confidence that, with maturity, mutual respect and a shared commitment to the established constitutional process, the current disagreement can be resolved without further division or rancour.
According to him, the preservation of the unity and dignity of Affa Etiti Ancient Kingdom should remain the collective responsibility of all its sons and daughters. He consequently urged all stakeholders to place the interest of the kingdom above individual ambitions and allow the constitution to provide the framework for resolving the present leadership question. His appeal is simple: let the constitution guide the process, let constituted authority be respected, and let peace remain the ultimate objective.
