Super Eagles and Udinese goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye might face a four-year ban for alleged sporting fraud.

Italian authorities deferred Okoye to the disciplinary commission for sporting fraud rather than irregular betting.

The 25-year-old was accused of purposefully collecting a yellow card in the 64th minute of Udinese’s Serie A match against Lazio.

He was booked for time- wasting late in the game with Udinese leading 2-1.

The match was played at the Dacia Arena on March 11, 2024

Okoye was placed under investigation along with three friends.

The Nigeria international joined Udinese from Watford in the summer of 2023.
