Hollywood star Alan Ritchson is not facing charges after an altercation with his neighbour went viral. In an update, the police say he acted in self-defence.

Daily Sun reported that the Reacher actor was confronted by a neighbour, and a violent confrontation ensued, with the latter alleging that Ritchson was speeding with his two young kids on their own motorbikes.

Ronnie Taylor, the neighbour who experienced a beatdown at the hands of the actor, claimed Ritchson was disturbing the peace.

Following an investigation by the police, it was determined that Ritchson was not the one who instigated the fight.

Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin told The Hollywood Reporter, “After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued. Mr Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defence.”

Despite the above, the celebrity will not press charges, according to Pepin.

“Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr Ritchson declined to pursue charges. With the agreement of the District Attorney’s Office, the case is now closed, and no further action will be taken,” the Police Captain added.
