Nasarawa State Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and ex-governor of the state, Senator Abdullahi Adamu have successfully delivered the state to President Muhummadu Buhari for the first time.

President Muhammadu Buhari has never won Nasarawa State since he started contesting as PDP had consistently won in the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari won in eight out of the 13 local government areas of the state while Atiku was the winner in five local governments.

The result as declared by INEC shows that Buhari won in Keana with 10, 754 against Atiku who garnered 7,886 votes.

In Awe local government, Buhari polled 28,277 votes against Atiku who got 11, 361.

In Obi local government, Buhari got 17, 091 while Atiku got 27, 317. In Doma local government Buhari got 15,110 votes against Atiku’s 12,110 votes.

In Nasarawa local government, Buhari defeated Atiku with 19,867 against 12,676 votes. In Wamba local government, Buhari got 15,490 while Atiku got 9,802 votes. In Keffi local government where Senator Abdullahi Adamu hails from, Buhari floored Atiku with 24,816 against 16,167 votes. In Toto LGA, Buhari polled 21,678 while Atiku 8,579 votes.

In Nasarawa Eggon local government, Atiku floored Buhari with 42,123 votes against Buhari’s 24,706 votes.

In Kokona LGA, Atiku again defeated Buhari with 24,563 against 20,433 votes.

President Buhari again lost to Atiku in Karu local government area by polling 25, 839 against 49,213 votes while the same defeat was recorded in Akwanga LGA where Atiku polled 26,340 against 14100.

In Lafia, the capital of the state where the incumbent state governor hails from, President Muhammadu Buhari polled 55,254 votes to defeat Atiku who garnered 35, 710 votes.
