Mr. Ifeanyi Akubue has emerged as chairman of Ogbako Ndigbo Computer Village, Ikeja.

Other members of the new exco are Mr. Donatus Anyim (Vice Chairman), Mr. Jerry Mba (Secretary), Mr. Samuel Eto Ebim (Financial Secretary) and Mr. Steve Igwe( treasurer)

The new interim leadership was given four and half months to conduct an election for Ndigbo in Computer Village on or before the end of November 2024.

A statement by the secretary, Mr Mbah, said: “After series of joint and tripartite meetings of the Council of Elders of Ogbako Ndigbo, former executives and some stakeholders of Ogbako Ndigbo on May 30, 2024, June 7, 2024, and June 11, 2024 respectively, it was resolved that due to the failure of the former chairman, Prince Tony Nwakeze, to call a general meeting since 2019, the Council of Elders proceeded to call a general Assembly meeting on Friday July 5, 2024. This is because the Prince Nwakeze led interim management has stayed for over 10 years in office and has failed to call a general meeting after he was given two years to conduct election and handover to a democratically elected chairman. He also failed to register Ogbako Ndigbo with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

“Prince Nwakeze has remained in office from 2010 till July 5, 2024, without adhering to the mandate given to him to unite and organise an election for Ndigbo in Computer Village, Ikeja.”
