“The 10th Senate shall continue to pursue the vision that strengthens our democracy, that will advance national development and improve the welfare of every Nigerian.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, represented by the lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituencies of Oyo State, Dr Anthony Adebayo Adeboju, said the House would continue to prioritise the needs of the people through legislation.
Abbas said, “From the very beginning of our tenure, we made a deliberate decision that the House of Representatives must truly become a people’s house.
“We were determined to be a legislature that listens before it legislates. One that opens its doors to citizens, civil society, professional bodies, the private sector, traditional institutions, young people, women, persons with disabilities, and every segment of our society.
“We resolved that democracy cannot flourish where the legislature is distant from the people. It flourishes only when citizens see the parliament as their own institution, where it’s accessible, responsive, transparent, and accountable. That commitment has shaped virtually every aspect of our work.
“It has informed our legislative agenda, strengthened our oversight responsibilities, deepened stakeholder engagement, and reinforced our determination to ensure that every law we make addresses the real needs and aspirations of Nigerians.”
