Akokwa Christian Elites hosts Oremosu at annual dinner

Akokwa Christian Elites, non- profit organisation, holds its 2025 edition of the annual Akokwa Eminent Persons’ Dinner on June at 14 Jevinik Towers, Isaac John Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

A statement by the group named an accomplished academic, thoroughbred medical scientist and Provost, College of Medicine, University of Lagos Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Professor Ademola Oremosu, as guest speaker.

He was the medical director of Mabol Clinic, Agege, before resting the practice after 26 years. He is a fellow of several academies and societies in the medical profession.

An apolitical and non governmental Christian body, Akokwa Christian Elites is made up of businessmen and women, professionals, intellectuals and other categories of peace-loving and socially constructive men and women of Akokwa extraction who believe in the supremacy of God and who live a life guided by Him through the Christian faith.

A predominantly Christian community, Akokwa is in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State.

Akokwa Christian Elite believes that God is the source of all providence and is committed to efforts towards the provision of good living conditions for everyone, as the right of all Akokwa indigenes.

Over the years, the group has succeeded in its avowed commitment to fostering positive changes in the lives of Akokwa people. The group says it will continue to strive to ensure that truth, honesty, love, integrity and fear of God prevail above all other things in Akokwa.

The annual dinner attracts eminent personalities. Those who have been hosted to dinner by the body include captains of industry, political leaders, academics, professionals, religious leaders among others.

The list includes Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa of Neimeth International Pharmaceutical Plc., and former Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), Mr. Tony Ewelike, CEO, A. G Homes, Azike Diribe of the Integrated Consortium, DIG Marvel Akpoyibo (retd),  Professor Pat Utomi of the Lagos Business School, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), James Ocholi, Pro-Chancellor of Salem University, Kogi State, Ifeanyi Odedo, MD, Sharon Ultimate and Sharon Regency Hotels, Dr. Uche Ogah, former Minister of State, Mines and Steel, Boss Mustapha, former SGF, Charles  Adewolu, CEO, TECO Group among others.
