Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 7, Ogundele Ayodeji, has assured maximum security at the upcoming Abuja Airport Garden City, in the Federal Capital Territory.

Chairman, First Rotech Group, developers of the project, Chief Austin Oguejiofor, said President Bola Tinubu will soon perform the groundbreaking of the multi-billion naira estate.

The AIG spoke shortly after an inspection tour of the project site located in Gousa, along the popular Airport Road, Abuja, together with partners in the housing scheme.

“When you talk about a development project, it is necessary to check the security arrangements of where the development is about to take place. And that is the reason I came here. The CP FCT has equally visited here. I have decided to come and see for myself, and from what I have seen of the location of the Abuja Airport Garden City, it is conducive and the security is alright.

“Investment and development go hand in hand with security. If the area is not secure, investors won’t come, and I am assuring that the location is secure for investors to come and carry out their business,” Williams said.

Oguejiofor said his company tapped into President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda,’ explaining that developing the new layout will open a new vista in the housing and tourism sectors of the FCT,

with the aim of attracting huge businesses and reducing housing challenges. He said the project will sit on a 250-hectare of land between the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and the Abuja Railway Station.

He further stated that the sophisticated facilities of the city would accommodate over 3,000 residents and businesses. Oguejiofor applauded the federal government for buying into the vision of the project and making the expansive land available for it in the nation’s capital.
