Afenifere’s ex-scribe, Pa Arogbofa’s wife for burial August 11

The family of Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Arogbofa (nee Dare) has announced Friday, August 11 as date for her internment.

The deceased was the wife of Chief Seinde Arogbofa, a renowned author and former Secretary-General of Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba group.  A retired educationist, she passed on recently after a brief illness at the age of 77. She hailed from Oka-Akoko, Ondo State.

According to a statement by the families of Arogbofa and Dare, her funeral commendation service would hold on Thursday (August 10) at Ebenezer African Church, Akure, Ondo, followed by a stop over at the house of the Dare family at Iwaro, Oka-Akoko.

A Christian wake will take place at the family residence in Afulu, Oka-Akoko, Ondo State beginning from 5.PM.

The funeral service would take place at St. Saviours African Church, Ikanmu, Oka-Akoko at 10A.M., followed by the interment at the church premises.

Reception takes place at African Church Grammar School, Oka-Akoko.
