AFCON 2025 qualifier: Super Eagles off to Benina for Libya match

The Super Eagles headed to Libya on Sunday morning for the fourth matchday of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign against the Mediterranean Knights.

The team’s chartered flight had a stopover in Kano before proceeding to Benghazi.

The Super Eagles were previously scheduled to travel to Tripoli, and then make a two-hour trip by road to Benghazi.

The idea was later abandoned to relieve stress on players and officials.

On Tuesday, Libya will host the Super Eagles at Benina’s 10,000-capacity stadium.

The ground is ten kilometers from Benghazi. The match will start at 8 p.m. Nigeria time.
