ADP senatorial candidate commends Edo South

Edo South senatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Ese Stephen Owie, has commended his supporters for support given him as well as their peaceful conduct during the National Assembly election held on February 23.

In a statement made available to Sunday Sun, he reiterated his commitment to the development of Edo South in spite of the irregularities that characterized the election. “Notwithstanding the widespread reports of voter suppression, brazen buying of votes, intimidation of voters and obfuscation of our Party Logo as a result of the array of Political Parties on the ballot paper, I am confident that the movement for the development of Edo South Senatorial District which has only started, shall continue and by the Grace of the Almighty, we shall forge ahead in our commitment to make Edo South a better place,” he said.

“Edo South remains my home, a place I long to serve and becoming your Senator would have availed me an opportunity to do so profoundly. I am committed to serving our people in other ways. I shall keep the fire burning and God willing, we shall get to the Edo South of our hopes and dreams, Owie added.

While acknowledging the large turnout of his supporters for the election, he assured the people of his continued support in the effort to make Edo State a better place for all. “I am humbled by the rare display of commitment to the current movement and I wish to assure everyone that God willing, this movement shall not die on the vine but grow to maturity as a towering tree on the political landscape of Edo South and beyond.
