Adeleke congratulates Tinubu, Makinde on rescue of abducted pupils, teachers

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State, describing their unconditional release as cheering news for Nigeria.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Saturday, Adeleke commended the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies for their professionalism, resilience and coordination, which led to the safe release of the victims after weeks of operations.

He specifically applauded the coordinated efforts of the Nigerian Army, the Office of the National Security Adviser, the National Counter Terrorism Centre, Defence Headquarters, the Nigerian Navy, the Nigerian Air Force, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the National Intelligence Agency, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security services.

Adeleke said the outcome highlights the importance of ongoing synergy among Nigeria’s security institutions in tackling terrorism, banditry and other violent crimes.

He also paid tribute to security personnel who made sacrifices during the operation, praying for the repose of those who lost their lives and the speedy recovery of those injured.

The governor urged security agencies, particularly the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, to sustain the momentum against criminal elements.
