Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to remain calm amid the ongoing national crisis within the party, characterising it as a “family affair.”
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, on Wednesday, Adeleke emphasised that party stakeholders are actively working to resolve the issues and restore the PDP to its rightful position.
“I urge all members of our party, the PDP, to remain calm and be steadfast. We are cruising to victory next year, and we must remain committed to rebuilding this party for a renewed landslide victory,” he stated.

The governor reassured both state and national members that the current disagreements within the party will be resolved soon. “All stakeholders at the national level have the party’s progress and success at heart and are looking for ways to resolve the crisis as quickly as possible,” he said.
Adeleke directed PDP leaders at the local government and ward levels in Osun State to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2026 governorship election. He affirmed that the PDP remains “the party to beat.”
“I hereby direct all party leaders across wards and local governments to begin massive mobilisation for our party ahead of the 2026 Governorship Election. Our party will come out stronger and better,” Adeleke said.
