Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, Senior Special Assistant on grassroots sports development to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has assured the President that grassroots sports will not only transform the sports landscape in Nigeria but also restore its former glory.

With over three decades of experience in sports administration, Adeboye is confident that his expertise will help rejuvenate grassroots sports and elevate the nation’s sporting achievements to new heights.

As a prominent figure in grassroots sports development, Adeboye firmly believes that the Tinubu administration will bring about significant changes in the sports sector, thanks to the President’s commitment and genuine intention to elevate sports in Nigeria.

“I want to assure Nigerians that grassroots sports will fundamentally change the face of sports in our beloved nation.

Every country can only thrive when grassroots initiatives are properly nurtured, as they are the foundation of a nation’s sporting success and future world champions,” he stated.

“President Tinubu is a true leader and a strong advocate for youth development. That is why he has provided us with a solid platform to ensure everything is in place for us to succeed in our mission to elevate sports to remarkable levels, both locally and internationally,” he added.

“I believe the President has great faith in my ability to make a significant impact by placing our sports on the right path for growth from the grassroots level. He believes we can achieve a lot and make this country proud in the coming years,” he concluded.

Recently, Adeboye, along with National Sports Commission Chairman Alhaji Shehu Dikko and Director General of the National Sports Commission Honourable Bukola Olopade, held a productive meeting with President Tinubu to discuss ways to elevate Nigerian sports.
