At the unveiling in Benin, the national chairman of the party, Senator David Mark, called for unity, resilience, and renewed dedication among party members—emphasising that the event signifies “a new chapter for ADC in Edo State—one built on integrity, service, and collective progress.”
Senator Mark, represented by the National Chief Whip, Festus Igbinoba, declared that ADC is ready to assume the mantle of leadership come 2027, urging all members to work towards this goal.
Chief John Odigie Oyegun lamented that the country’s situation has worsened, progressing from hunger to starvation. He noted that only the ADC can rescue Nigeria from its current predicament.

Prof Osarieme Osunbor, the party’s legal adviser, urged President Bola Tinubu to emulate former President Goodluck Jonathan, who famously stated that his election was not worth the blood of any Nigerian, and conceded defeat to the late President Muhammadu Buhari. Osunbor criticised the current administration for failing to provide security and instead increasing taxes on citizens.
He added that those now joining the ADC foresaw the inevitable failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party and called on Nigerians to unite with the ADC to oust the APC in 2027.
Ken Imansuangbon argued that the current administration must purge itself of corruption for things to improve, emphasising that the ADC has the capacity to correct prevailing wrongs in the country.
In his goodwill message, National Vice Chairman Usani Uguru Usani described Edo State as pivotal to the party’s success, thanks in large part to the influence of Chief Odigie Oyegun. Usani recalled Oyegun’s pioneering role in democratic governance during the SDP era and his leadership during the merger that birthed the APC.
ADC Edo State Chairman, Hon Kennedy Odion, commended all stakeholders, political actors, civic groups, and community leaders for their efforts in making the coalition a reality.
He said, “Your dedication demonstrates that when we put the interests of the people first, meaningful collaboration becomes not just possible, but powerful. As we move forward, let us remember that our true strength lies in our ability to work together. The ADC remains committed to promoting credible leadership, good governance, and policies that uplift every Edo citizen, irrespective of political affiliation.”
