Adamawa Speaker’s aide regains freedom after 5 days in captivity

The Chief of Staff to the Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly,Usman Umar Sahabi, has regained  freedom after spending about five days in the hands of his captors.

Sahabi, who was kidnapped by gunmen  November 2, 2023, has regained his freedom today, November 7.

Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO),Mr  Suleiman Nguroje, said  that the victim indeed regained his freedom.

Daily Sun gathered that Sahabi, regained his freedom earlier yesterday ,although the amount paid for his ransom was not disclosed.

The Sun had earlier reported that some  gunmen had stormed into Sahabi’s residence at Wuro Chekke at about  1am; abducted him  and taken him to an unknown location.

His abductors had demanded for a ransom fee of N20M.
