The wait is finally over as the results of the supplementary elections held in 14 local governments and the 44 polling units in Adamawa State have been released with PDP’s governorship candidate, Ahmadu, Umaru Fintiri, clearing all the 14 local governments contested for.
The Adamawa governorship elections had been shifted by INEC from March 23 to 28, 2019, due to a temporary court injunction that stopped the electoral umpire from holding the elections then.
In the 14 local governments where the elections were held, there was no report of violence as the exercise went on peacefully.
