From Paul Osuyi, Asaba
Ace comedian Ogusbaba Akpobome Ogude has hosted his close associates to a light get-together in the spirit of Christmas.
The get-together, which was held in Asaba, Delta State capital, featured music, games, comedy and other forms of entertainment.
Ogusbaba who is the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Talent Development said the evening time out also marked his third year anniversary as a government appointee.
He said the avenue was his personal way of showing appreciation to all those who have contributed to making his office achieve success in the last three years.
The ace comedian said when he received his appointment letter in December 2019, he wanted to reject it but later accepted it after encouraging words from veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) and a couple of senior colleagues in the entertainment industry.
He described the appointment as a call to service, noting that through the office, new talents in music, comedy and dance have been discovered and developed.
Admitting that there were challenges, the governor’s aide, said he has been able to succeed because of the unfailing support from Governor Okowa, staff of the Office of Talent Development and other stakeholders.
“There are challenges, but the governor has always given us the desired support, so I will continue to thank him for the opportunity to serve.
“The staff of the office here have been wonderful. We could not have achieved anything without them,” he said.
