Accord Party gubernatorial candidate in Taraba, Professor Jerome Nyame, has promised a transparent, accountable and all inclusive government if elected in 2027.

Speaking to journalists in Jalingo, he said corruption thrives when governance is shrouded in secrecy. He noted that despite rising revenue, development continues to elude the state while debt grows.

Nyame pledged to publish income and expenditure regularly so citizens can ask questions. He said the race is driven by a genuine need to turn the state around.

He observed that revenue has risen by more than 200 per cent in recent years with little to show for it. He called for a change of narrative.

The candidate said Accord Party is engaging the people to break the myth of incumbency and party affiliation. He urged voters to choose candidates who can put the state on the path of progress.
